Funded by the US National Institute of Child Health & Development (NICHD)
The ideas developed at the Think Tank Meeting culminated in a proposal for a research, entitled “Behavioral and genomic mechanisms linking childhood violence exposure to health.” They have just learned that this project will be funded by the US National Institute of Child Health & Development (NICHD). The funding brings $3.75million to Duke University and King’s College London, and will be carried out in their UK Environmental-Risk Twin Study. The research team, led by Prof. Dr. Avshalom Caspi, includes Think-Tank members Prof. Dr. Jonathan Mill, Prof. Dr. Andrea Danese, Dr. Helen Fisher, Prof. Dr. Carmine Pariente, and Prof. Dr. Terrie Moffitt.
